With the TUC-organised ‘Britain Needs a Pay Rise’ demonstration fast approaching on 18 October Camden Trades Council has invited speakers from unions involved in current struggles to defend jobs and pensions, and halt the erosion of real pay. These include: Paul Embery, London regional secretary of the FBU, Robert Lugg, the leading BECTU steward in the Ritzy Cinema dispute over the introduction of the London Living Wage and Janet Maiden, branch chair UNISON at UCH (tbc).
