March for Housing, Saturday 31 January 2015

Defend Council Housing is asking London-based trade unionists and Trades Councils to support the ‘March for Homes’ on Saturday 31 Jan 2015. The March is called by Defend Council Housing and the South London People’s Assembly – see
this link for the leaflet with details of start time and assembly point in SE1 (http://www.defendcouncilhousing.org.uk/dch/resources/MarchForHomesAnnouncement.pdf)
The organisers are seeking to build wide support for the march with the aim of bringing together all tenants public and private, campaigns and trade unions to demand action from the Mayor and Greater London Assembly to control private rents and standards, invest in council housing, and create secure and really affordable homes for all who need them.
Please encourage your branch, region, Trades Council etc to support the march – see model motion at http://www.defendcouncilhousing.org.uk.
We hope to add supporter names and logos to a further leaflet.
Please come along to the next:
