Solidarity from Camden Trades Council to SOAS UNISON

Solidarity from Camden Trades Council – the management move to suspend SOAS UNISON Branch Secretary Sandy Nicoll is a perverse tribute from the college authorities to his effectiveness as a trade unionist, who has done a great deal to support the struggles of the lowest paid workers at SOAS and stood in the way of attempts to fundamentally transform the nature of the college. Our UNISON branch and the Trades Council fully support the call for his immediate and unconditional resinstatement. No to victimisation/Yes to effective trade unionism: an emergency protest has been called for tomorrow (THURSDAY 29 October) afternoon at the college’s main site, Thornhaugh Street, WC1, very near Russell Square.
