MARCH TO SAVE BELSIZE FIRE STATION 25 May 11.30am

The mayor of London, Boris Johnson, wants to close 12 fire stations, remove 18 engines and slash 520 frontline firefighter posts. Even the mayor’s own fire  Authority is against his plans!

The mayor wants to cut your fire cover so he can reduce council tax up 7p a week.

This move will mean it takes longer for firefighters to get to you in your hour of need and will put you and your family in danger.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

 
1) Join firefighters as they march to save your fire stations.
 
25 May 11.30am assemble Oriel Place (top of Hampstead High St,
12.00 march to a Belsize fire station.

2) Attend the London Fire Brigade’s public meeting and hold the
politicians to account.
 
Thursday, 30 May 7-9pm at McNamara Suite, London Irish Centre,
50-52 Camden Square, London NW1 9XB

 3) Take part in the consultation at http://www.london-fi re.gov.uk
