BREAKING NEWS: STRIKE ACTION CALLED
The FBU’s executive council has today called a four-hour strike of firefighters in England and Wales in response to the government’s attack on firefighter pensions. The strike will take place between noon and 1600 hours on Wednesday 25 September.
All London FBU members (with the exception of Control staff) are required to participate in the strike.
An ‘all members’ circular containing further information will be distributed shortly.
The union’s London regional committee will meet in emergency session on Friday, following which further advice – on matters such as picketing – will be issued.
We know that London FBU members will demonstrate maximum unity leading up to, during and after this strike.
