If health workers step up their action the campaign to defend the NHS will be much stronger. The TUC and health unions are launching a campaign against the pay freeze in the NHS and local campaigns can join in. As part of the TUC’s ‘fair pay fortnight’ and UNISON-led protests over the Tory-led coalition’s pay policy healthworkers at University College London Hospital will be mounting a lunch-time protest and would very much welcome support from other trade unionists and local activists determined to defend the NHS:
